2.文中談到作者去北京國家圖書館的遭遇，除了管員態度不佳之外，許多服務都需要收費，另作者留下不好的印象。

我的心得：關於文章中所提到的幾點，像是借書、影印等需要收錢，還有管員態度不佳等問題，我真的滿慶幸自己是待在文化較進步的台灣，圖書館的設立目的就是要為大眾服務，如果讀者願意主動使用圖書館，卻在圖書館遇到像本文作者一般的遭遇，那我想圖書館的使用率不高也是正常吧！所以希望台灣的圖書館要以此為借鏡，尋求更完善的服務。

1.Collections overviews are intended primarily as internal documents to advise the staff about the complex, rich, and diverse collections of the Library.
collections overviews為一份提供館員有關複雜、豐富及各種的館藏之建議文件

2.It is hoped that the overviews also may be of interest to a wider community of librarians, researchers, and potential patrons of the Library’s collections.
此文件希望可帶給更廣泛的圖書館員、研究者、及潛在的贊助者對館藏有更多的興趣

3.美國國會圖書館有超過138萬件的館藏

4.美國國會圖書館的徵集自1800年來皆不論形式、語言、或主題學科；唯有the areas of clinical medicine 或 technical agriculture，因它們為the National Library of Medicine and the National Agricultural Library所負責

5.美國國會圖書館應擁有下列三類館藏：

(1)All books and other library materials necessary to the Congress and the various officers of the Federal Government to perform their duties.

(2)All books and other materials that record the life and achievement of the American people.

(3)Records of other societies, past and present, especially of those societies and peoples whose experience is of the most immediate concern to the people of the United States.

1.圖書館權利書是由ALA撰寫給圖書館讀者的

2.共包含六條：

(1)Books and other library resources should be provided for the interest, information, and enlightenment of all people of the community the library serves. Materials should not be excluded because of the origin, background, or views of those contributing to their creation.

(2)Libraries should provide materials and information presenting all points of view on current and historical issues. Materials should not be proscribed or removed because of partisan or doctrinal disapproval.

(3)Libraries should challenge censorship in the fulfillment of their responsibility to provide information and enlightenment.

(4)Libraries should cooperate with all persons and groups concerned with resisting abridgment of free expression and free access to ideas.

(5) A person’s right to use a library should not be denied or abridged because of origin, age, background, or views.

(6)braries which make exhibit spaces and meeting rooms available to the public they serve should make such facilities available on an equitable basis, regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of individuals or groups requesting their use.
